Ernest Cook University Collaborates with The Uganda Electoral Commission to Provide Physiotherapy, Prostate, and Breast Cancer Screening.
On October 17, 2024, ECUREI held a camp at the Uganda Electoral Commission (UEC) headquarters. The University provided Physiotherapy services, Prostate and Breast Cancer Screening. This event, conducted in partnership with the Electoral Commission aimed at raising awareness and providing accessible healthcare to the UEC community.

The camp was staffed by a team ECUREI healthcare professional who managed five dedicated workstations, facilitating patient registration, cancer screenings, consultations, laboratory testing, and physiotherapy. A big number of UEC staff members registered, men screened for prostate cancer and women for breast cancer. Additionally, they received physiotherapy consultations, emphasizing the importance of a healthy, flexible body, especially for chronic illness survivors.

76 UEC staff were screened. Notably, The UEC Chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama expressed gratitude and recommended future events with extended duration to better serve the UEC community.
